Since its initial implementation in 2003, SBL’s program has become an excellent example of an integrated, ever-evolving process that has fostered a collaborative effort among its local partners. Through the development and implementation of 87 small-scale projects that address a wide range of healthcare issues, among them diabetes and HIV/AIDS, obesity, nurses shortages, teen violence, poor prenatal care and recidivism into the community.
